Technical Communication Quarterly

期刊简介：Technical Communication Quarterly (TCQ) is a refereed journal published four times per year with support from Taylor and Francis, the Association of Teachers of Technical Writing ( ATTW ), and the Utah State University English department. TCQ publishes research focused on technical communication in academic, scientific, technical, business, governmental, and related organizational or social contexts. Articles published in TCQ combine theoretical and practical perspectives. All articles have a sound basis in theory, use accessible examples and illustrations, and include implications for teaching, research, or practice in technical communication. Articles cover a range of topics that include communication design, pedagogical approaches, the role of digital technologies, ethics, the rhetoric of workplaces or professions, the practices of publication management, dialogue between academics and practitioners, research methods, and connections between social practices and organizational discourse. Technical Communication Quarterly accepts the following types of article: Original Research Article, Methodologies And Approaches, Perspectives and Book reviews. Policy Against Oppressive Rhetoric Racist, misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic, ablest, ageist, xenophobic, and other oppressive language will not be published in Technical Communication Quarterly, unless the language is being quoted as evidence (e.g., quoting racist policies as evidence in a critical analysis of legal policy and its effects on disenfranchised populations). We also acknowledge the limitations of individuals to recognize all such oppressive language and therefore the need for coalitional engagement across the field. We call upon authors, reviewers, and the editorial team to be attuned to this policy and to do their part to avoid and eliminate oppressive language from TCQ manuscripts. In the event that TCQ publishes a piece containing oppressive language, we urge TCQ readers to please contact the editor in chief (Tracy Bridgeford tbridgeford@unomaha.edu ). In such cases, TCQ will publish a retraction and a lessons learned in the following journal issue.
