期刊简介:Law and Humanities is a peer-reviewed journal, providing a forum for scholarly discourse within the arts and humanities around the subject of law. For this purpose, the arts and humanities disciplines are taken to include literature, history (including history of art), philosophy, theology, classics and the whole spectrum of performance and representational arts. The remit of the journal does not extend to consideration of the laws that regulate practical aspects of the arts and humanities (such as the law of intellectual property). Law and Humanities is principally concerned to engage with those aspects of human experience which are not empirically quantifiable or scientifically predictable. Each issue carries five or six major articles of between 8,000 and 12,000 words each, as well as shorter essays (around 4,000 words). It also carries reviews of books, exhibitions, plays, concerts and other artistic publications relevant to law and legal issues. Peer review All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the editors, and, if found suitable for further consideration, research articles are then subject to peer review by two or more independent, anonymous expert referees. For special issues, articles are reviewed by the relevant guest editors, at least one expert referee, and the journal editor. Reviews, essays, and other papers that are not research articles are generally reviewed by the journal editors only. All peer review is double-anonymous and submission is online via the Taylor & Francis Submission Portal. "All scholars interested in the relationship between law and literature, law and philosophy and law and history should make a regular habit of reading Law and Humanities. Lawyers and other legal professionals will find a wide range of articles and reviews that expand their knowledge of the way in which law interacts with a wide range of humanistic pursuits." Barbara Shapiro, Emerita Professor, Rhetoric Department, University of California Berkeley
