期刊简介：Latin American Journal of Aquatic Research- LAJAR is the continuation of the journal Investigaciones Marinas (1970-2007) and is published since 2008 by the Escuela de Ciencias del Mar, Facultad de Ciencias del Mar y Geografía of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. LAJAR is an “Open Access” journal that publishes in English language, original research articles, reviews and short communications on aquatic science, which contain the results of research conducted in aquaculture or in oceanic and coastal marine waters of Latin America.The following topics are considered: Physical Oceanography, Chemical Oceanography, Marine Biogeochemistry, Marine Pollution and Toxicology, Marine Geology and Geophysics, Biological Oceanography, Fisheries and Aquaculture.

【译文】拉丁美洲水生研究杂志（LAJAR）是《海洋研究》（1970-2007）的延续，自2008年起由智利蓬塔阿雷纳斯天主教大学海洋科学学院、海洋与地理学院出版。LAJAR是一本“开放获取”期刊，用英语发表原创研究文章、评论和简报，内容涉及水生科学，包括在拉丁美洲水产养殖或海洋和沿海水域进行的研究结果。以下主题被考虑：物理海洋学、化学海洋学、海洋生物地球化学、海洋污染与毒理学、海洋地质与地球物理学、生物海洋学、渔业和水产养殖。
