Theatre Research International

期刊简介：Theatre Research International is a peer reviewed journal, publishing articles on theatre practices in their social, cultural, and historical contexts, their relationships to other media of representation, and to other fields of inquiry. Founded in 1975, for over fifty years the journal has engaged in the evolving diversity of critical idioms prevalent in global scholarship. TRI brings different traditions, methodologies and cultures into dialogue and debate. International, the key word in the title of the journal and its scholarly home with the International Federation for Theatre Research, communicates our focus on performance and theatre practice across the globe, including new explorations of historical material, new performances and new theoretical frameworks, and different ways of seeing which surprise us and provoke fresh scholarship. This commitment is reflected in our editorial team which is based in different parts of globe, drawn from different specialist areas, with research interests in South and South East Asian, Irish, and Spanish-speaking theatres, as well as feminist research and political and contemporary performance practices.
