Pediatric Health Medicine and Therapeutics

期刊简介：Pediatric Health, Medicine and Therapeutics is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal publishing original research, reports, editorials, reviews and commentaries. All aspects of pediatric and adolescent health maintenance, preventative measures, disease treatment interventions, and studies investigating the poor outcomes for some treatments, are addressed within the journal. One of the journal’s aims is to encompass research that facilitates our understanding of interventions in addressing unequal treatment that results in unequal outcomes of care across diverse pediatric and adolescent populations, thus narrowing and ultimately removing health disparities. With this focus, articles are invited from researchers, clinicians and policy advocates on characterization, epidemiology, control and elimination of disparities (race, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, language, disability, geographic locale) in childhood and adolescent morbidity (incidence, prevalence), access and utilization of care, and mortality, as well as studies on policies and intervention as evidence-based findings on pediatric and adolescent health disparities narrowing and elimination. The adolescent part of the journal follows WHO guidelines which define adolescents as those between the ages of 10 and 19 (https://www.who.int/southeastasia/health-topics/adolescent-health). Pediatric Health, Medicine and Therapeutics will no longer consider meta-analyses for publication. Practitioners from all disciplines are invited to submit their work as well as healthcare researchers and patient support groups. Areas covered include: Physical and mental development Behavioural issues Pathologies and treatment interventions Prevalence and incidence studies Diet and nutrition Outcome studies, patient satisfaction, compliance, and adherence Specific drug handling, efficacy, and safety issues Drug development programs Patient and health education programs and studies Treatment issues, including health issues affecting young people with cancer Challenges when transitioning from adolescent to adult care
