期刊简介:Archives of Phytopathology and Plant Protection publishes Original Articles, Short Communications (Comments), View Points (Technical Support), and Review Articles. The journal covers a broad spectrum of plant protection sciences, including Phytopathological virology, bacteriology, mycology, applied nematology, and agricultural entomology. Particular emphasis is placed on the biology, ecology, epidemiology, and management of plant pathogens and insect pests affecting crop plants and stored agricultural products. The journal welcomes contributions addressing strategies and tactics for protecting crops against diseases and insect infestations, including insecticide efficacy testing, bioassays, resistance monitoring, host plant resistance to insect pests, and integrated insect and disease management approaches. Studies involving insect–plant interactions, pest population dynamics, toxicological evaluation of plant protection agents, and the development of sustainable alternatives to conventional insecticides are also within scope. To ensure scientific robustness and reproducibility, studies based on field and greenhouse experiments should be conducted over a minimum of two years or across multiple growing seasons to allow for proper validation of results. A significant focus is devoted to scientific aspects of integrated plant protection within ecologically sound and economically sustainable agricultural systems. Relevant topics include plant and soil hygiene, biological control of pathogens and insect pests, selective and reduced-risk chemical control strategies, insecticide resistance management, crop resistance breeding, application technologies, and economic analyses of plant protection measures. The journal also provides a platform for discussion on the environmental impacts of plant protection practices, including the effects of pesticides and insecticides on soil, water, air quality, non-target organisms, biodiversity, and ecosystem interdependence within cultivated and adjacent landscapes.
