期刊简介：Word & Image is concerned with the encounters, dialogues, mutual collaboration, and tensions between verbal and visual languages, their media, and material forms. It provides a forum for humanities articles that address word and image relationships from all historical periods, traditions, and theoretical perspectives. Themed issues, guest-edited by specialists in the field, are an occasional feature of the journal. We also encourage proposals for new translations into English of foundational essays in the field. All research articles published in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial screening by both editors and anonymized refereeing. Readership: Literary critics, art historians and critics, linguisticians, cultural and social historians, philosophers and psychologists, members of academic departments of literature, art history, and media, communication, and cultural studies.
