Journal of Genocide Research

期刊简介：Journal of Genocide Research is a leading journal committed to the publication of high quality research into genocide and other mass atrocities involving the systematic killing, destruction, or suffering of civilians. It welcomes scholarship that advances understanding of these phenomena from all periods of history and from all relevant disciplines, including political science, international relations, history, sociology, psychology, law, criminology, anthropology, and economics. Research into the causes, consequences, dynamics, and processes behind these phenomena as well as into the prevention of and response to them is encouraged. Genocide is a contested legal, historical, sociological and political term that is applied in various spheres: in international law, in academic analyses of genocide, past and present, and in political claim-making. Journal of Genocide Research welcomes scholarly contributions that draw on original empirical material and that adhere to the highest standards of scholarship. It is committed to academic research and does not publish advocacy or promote particular political perspectives. As a multi-disciplinary journal, it is open to all methods. All papers submitted and published as Research Articles and Review Articles undergo rigorous, double-anonymous peer review, based on initial editor screening followed by refereeing by at least two external scholars. Papers submitted and published as Forum, Book Forum, Reflection, Roundtable, Interview, and Briefing papers are reviewed by the Editorial board and may also undergo external review.
