期刊简介：The International Journal of Leadership in Education is an international, peer-reviewed journal, publishing high-quality, original research. The Journal represents a forum for theoretical and practical discussions of educational leadership from around the world. Offering an alternative voice to established approaches and models in the field, the Journal publishes critical accounts of educational leadership, relating to ethical, political, epistemological and philosophical considerations. As such, the Journal is a forum for researchers and practitioners to consider conceptual, methodological and practical issues that are relevant for an international audience, across a range of professional and service settings and sectors. Please note that this journal publishes manuscripts in English, and accepts the following types of articles: Research • Research articles are empirically based and theoretically reflexive papers, investigating and debating substantive topics and issues relevant for leadership in education, across a range of formal and nonformal educational sectors and with an international scope. Additionally, articles must be based on sound methodological approaches, qualitative, quantitative or mixed, consistent with the study aims and questions. As the Editor deems appropriate, review articles addressing contemporary topics or the state of the art in relation to educational leadership will be accepted for peer-review. Research articles should be between 5000 and 8000 words in length, excluding references, appendices (if applicable), tables and figures. Practice • Practice articles are papers from both academics and practitioners, focused on critically analyzing and reviewing a practical experience or the application of a methodology, where leadership is the focus of attention, in a range of formal and non-formal sectors. As the Editor deems appropriate, practice articles addressing first-person accounts or self-studies will be accepted for peer-review. Practice articles should be between 4000 and 5000 words in length, excluding references, appendices (if applicable), tables and figures. Commentary • Commentary articles are papers that feature timely, provocative, and critical discussions about issues relevant to educational leadership that are appealing to an international audience, in a range of formal and non-formal sectors, which may elicit responses or a running dialogue. As the Editor deems appropriate, commentary articles will be commissioned to leading authors in their respective fields and contexts. Commentary papers could be subject to either peer or editorial review. Commentary articles should be between 3000 and 4000 words in length, excluding references, appendices (if applicable), tables and figures. Peer Review Policy: All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by at least two anonymous referees.
