期刊简介：The European Early Childhood Education Research Journal (EECERJ) is the publication of the European Early Childhood Education Research Association (EECERA) , an international organisation dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of research in Early Childhood Education throughout Europe and beyond. CREC is the UK base for the European Early Childhood Research Association . EECERA welcomes and encourages membership and contributions from across the world to share and participate in its European perspective; all submitted papers should have application to, and implications for our international audience. EECERJ aims to provide a forum for the publication of original research in early childhood education. ‘Early Childhood’ is defined as being from birth to eight years of age. With this as its principal focus, it should be emphasised that its definition of education embraces care and that its approach is multidisciplinary, embracing all related fields including psychology, sociology, child health and social work. The Editorial Board intends to publish papers which have a clear application to early childhood education and care policy and practice and this must be made explicit in the wider discussion articulated within the paper. EECERJ recognises multiple paradigms and particularly welcomes qualitative approaches that seek to better understand and develop practice and submissions where mixed-methods provide balance between qualitative and quantitative analysis. We also seek to provide a common forum for shared issues in early childhood education research, and, on occasion, to provide a forum for controversy in the discussion of such issues. When tackling potential controversy EECERJ requires authors to acknowledge multiple perspectives and take particular care with ethics . Papers may take the form of reports of research in progress/completed, discussion of conceptual and methodological issues and meta-analyses/literature reviews. All papers are double blind peer reviewed. All papers are submitted via ScholarOne for consideration. The Journal reserves the right to reject submissions after editorial screening and no reviews, or just one review, should the submission not meet certain minimum requirements in terms of scope, compliance, or quality. Where a submission is rejected for publication formative feedback will be given in line with the developmental ethos of the Journal.
