期刊简介:The New Review of Academic Librarianship publishes reviews, research, critiques and exemplar case studies on substantive topics relevant to those providing library and information services to academic communities. Emphasis is placed on establishing the relevance and applicability of theory and/or research for the academic library practitioner. The intention is to disseminate developments and encourage discussion on the future role of academic libraries and their services. The scope of the Journal covers, but is not restricted to, developments in the following: Scholarly communication (including institutional repositories) Support for learning & research Information literacy Deployment of information and communication technologies Changing use of physical space Performance monitoring and service evaluation Human resources and workforce development Collection management Conservation and preservation Collaboration and co-operation Electronic content procurement National/international policy on higher education library and information provision The Journal accepts original papers which significantly contribute to the knowledge base of academic librarianship. Submissions based on theory and research that advance the understanding of the development of high quality academic library and information management practices are welcomed. Perspectives are encouraged from academic library practitioners, educationalists involved with academic libraries and others with relevant knowledge and interest. Peer Review Policy: Manuscripts submitted to this journal undergo editorial screening and peer review by anonymous reviewers.
