期刊简介：To publish original and valuable papers in the field of classification, numerical taxonomy, multidimensional scaling and other ordination techniques, clustering, tree structures and other network models (with somewhat less emphasis on principal components analysis, factor analysis, and discriminant analysis), as well as associated models and algorithms for fitting them. Articles will support advances in methodology while demonstrating compelling substantive applications. Comprehensive review articles are also acceptable. Contributions will represent disciplines such as statistics, psychology, biology, information retrieval, anthropology, archeology, astronomy, business, chemistry, computer science, economics, engineering, geography, geology, linguistics, marketing, mathematics, medicine, political science, psychiatry, sociology, and soil science.

【译文】发表关于分类、数值分类学、多维尺度和其他排序技术、聚类、树结构以及其他网络模型（对主成分分析、因子分析和判别分析的关注较少）以及与之相关的模型和算法拟合的原创和有价值论文。文章将支持方法论的发展，同时展示令人信服的应用。综合评论文章也欢迎。贡献将代表统计学、心理学、生物学、信息检索、人类学、考古学、天文学、商业、化学、计算机科学、经济学、工程、地理学、地质学、语言学、市场营销、数学、医学、政治学、精神病学、社会学和土壤科学等学科。
