期刊简介:The Nordic Journal of Music Therapy is an international, peer-reviewed journal committed to expanding knowledge and discourse about music therapy in contexts such as health care, education, neuroscience, musicology, and societal change. By publishing empirical and theoretical research, systematic reviews, perspectives on practice, and philosophical discussions on music therapy as well as reviews of recently published books in the field, the journal provides a forum to advance the understanding of how music therapy contributes to the health, education, development, wellbeing and enrichment of people. As a recognised scholarly publication established in 1992, the Nordic Journal of Music Therapy showcases a broad spectrum of ideas and approaches in therapy, practice, research, theory, and professional issues. Advancing the field's evidence base and encouraging multicultural, meta-theoretical and philosophical perspectives and reflections are at the core of the journal's mission. The Nordic Journal of Music Therapy is published in collaboration with GAMUT – The Grieg Academy Music Therapy Research Centre (NORCE Norwegian Research Centre and University of Bergen). Initially based on a collaboration between the music therapy communities in Nordic and Baltic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania), the journal is now guided by a broad international editorial team and advisory board. It offers a platform for dialogue amongst global researchers and practitioners in music therapy, health care, and beyond. To ensure the quality of the journal, all original research articles and Perspectives on Practice articles are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to double-anonymized peer review by two independent expert referees, and review by the editors; book reviews, invited commentaries, letters to the editor, and guest editorials are reviewed by the editors. Submission is online via Routledge's Submission Portal . With our dedicated team of Associate Editors, we are committed to making the review process a constructive experience for authors. The Nordic Journal of Music Therapy is recommended reading for: professionals and students in the fields of music therapy, music psychology, musicology, community music, music education, special education, psychology, psychiatry, psychotherapy, creative arts therapy, arts in health, nursing, dementia care, social work, public health, and health policy, as well as service users and their family members and carers.
