期刊简介：Breast Cancer: Targets and Therapy is an international, peer reviewed, open access journal that publishes basic and translational studies, as well as clinical trials on breast cancer. The journal encourages original and review articles on breast cancer treatment. The latter includes outcome studies that incorporate preventative and integrated treatment strategies that enhance survival, and quality of life for cancer patients. The journal’s audience includes medical oncologists, physicians and basic scientists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, nurses, patient navigators, policymakers, and healthcare professionals interested in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of breast cancer. Specific topics covered in the journal include: Epidemiology, detection and screening Male breast cancer Cellular research and biomarkers Cancer stem cells Cancer dormancy and metastasis Novel biotargets and other agents such as small non-coding RNA Drug Delivery Systems Optimal clinical use of existing anti-cancer agents, including combination therapies Radiation and surgery Palliative care Patient adherence, quality of life, satisfaction Health economic evaluations Genetic and epigenetic mechanisms Hormone-mediated breast cancer Premature aging and breast cancer The journal welcomes submitted papers on the above and related topics and breast cancer, treatment guidelines, expert opinion and commentaries. Breast Cancer: Targets and Therapy will no longer consider : meta-analyses bibliometric analyses or case report/series When considering submission of a paper utilizing publicly available data (e.g. SEER/GWAS/TCGA/GEO etc.), authors should ensure that such studies add significantly to the body of knowledge about breast cancer or relevant phenotype and that they are validated using the authors’ own data through replication in an independent sample set and functional follow-up.
