期刊简介：Founded in 1972, this interdisciplinary and radical journal of social theory and research continues to be one of the most influential resources in the social sciences worldwide. Economy and Society advances contemporary conceptual debates and promotes novel empirical analyses of economic and cultural relations, states and governance. It seeks to provide a forum for the social sciences in the broadest sense, and welcomes innovative articles that address a readership across sociology, anthrolopology, political economy, geography, philosophy, and political and legal theory, as well as scholars who research between disciplines. In regular issues and through thematic special issues and special sections, the journal publishes original and progressive work from across the globe that critically engages with aspects of the present and speaks beyond disciplinary specialisms. The Editorial Board welcomes submissions from early-career social scientists. Peer Review Policy: All articles published in this journal have undergone internal Editorial Board scrutiny as well as anonymous peer review. Reviews are solicited under a double-anonymized system of review, and Editorial Board members are actively involved in the reviewing and decision-making process, both reading papers sent for review and considering the referees’ reports received. Editorial Board meetings are held throughout the year at which Board members discuss the papers and referees’ reports in detail, before coming to a decision on each submission. Proposals for special issues and special sections are also received and considered by the Editorial Board, and the Board will appoint one of its members to oversee the development of a special issue/section. Judgements communicated to authors are the decision of the Editorial Board, and combine feedback from referee reports, Board Members and the Managing Editor. Publications appear in the Latest Articles section of the journal’s website, ahead of print in a specific issue of the journal.
