期刊简介:The Journal of Social Work Practice in the Addictions is designed to help social work practitioners stay abreast of the latest developments in the field of addictions. This journal publishes refereed articles on innovative individual, family, group work, and community practice models for treating and preventing substance abuse and other addictions in diverse populations. The journal focuses on research findings, health care, social policies, and program administration directly affecting social work practice in the addictions. The Journal of Social Work Practice in the Addictions features several recurring columns that offer timely and engaging content for practitioners, researchers, educators, and students. Special Topic Interviews or Conversations: Some issues of the Journal may include a Special Topic feature—an expert interview or dialogue that delves into a pressing or emerging issue in addiction practice or policy. These pieces aim to highlight innovative approaches, surface underexplored areas, or offer reflections from thought leaders in the field. Book Reviews: These brief reviews provide readers with critical insights into recently published books relevant to social work and addictive behaviors. Whether focused on clinical practice, policy, or education, book reviews help readers stay current with the evolving literature. Endpage: This column offers a space for thoughtful, concise commentary or reflection. Submissions may include conceptual pieces, calls to action, personal narratives, or observations that challenge the status quo, uplift underrecognized ideas, or bring clarity to complex practice dilemmas. Pieces should aim to spark dialogue, offer insight, or leave readers with something meaningful to consider. Special Topic Interviews, Endpage, and Book Review submissions are considered by the editorial leadership team of JSWPA and are not subject to blind review. Submissions should be emailed directly to the Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Natasha Mendoza, at Tadoza@asu.edu. Peer Review Policy : all articles in this journal have undergone rigorous anonymous double-anonymized peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by two to four anonymous referees.
