期刊简介:The European Review of History is a forum for transnational conversation on Europe from the early modern to modern period. It is dedicated to nurturing a research landscape that engages with Europe as a geopolitical unit, a cultural construct, and a global presence. Questions of centre and periphery, minorities and rights, cohesion and inequality, movement and borders form the backbone of the journal’s agenda, and we welcome submissions that explore connected, entangled or integrated histories of Europe or the significance of case studies for European history and historiography. As the European Review of History is a general journal for those interested in European history we welcome original research articles which are informed by an ambition to look beyond a particular region or locality. We will consider detailed articles on a single area or topic if authors can highlight the wider significance of this case-study for non-specialist readers. The European Review of History is committed to diversifying the landscape of academic writing and publishing and making research from different academic traditions accessible in English. We therefore explicitly welcome submissions from authors who are non-native English speakers, though we do recommend that articles are proof-read prior to submission. We encourage submissions from both senior and early career scholars and are happy to guide authors new to academic publishing through the revision process. Our Early Career Prize is awarded annually to the author of an outstanding article published in the journal and selected by the editorial board. As part of our commitment to fostering conversations across borders and scholarly fields, we also publish Special Issues (6-8 articles) and dossiers (3-5 articles). If you are interested in submitting a special issue to the journal, please contact us at euroreviewhistory@gmail.com . All research articles are subject to a double-blind review process, in most cases by two separate readers with expertise in the article’s subject. Before submitting an article or a proposal for a Special Issue, please familiarize yourself with our guidelines concerning abstracts, length, structure, and references as detailed in our Guidelines for Authors. Submissions that do not comply with these guidelines will not be considered. We retain a strong presence on social media and are committed to making historical research accessible through our podcast, blog and social media channels. Peer Review Policy: All research articles published in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by at least two anonymous referees.
