Journal for Cultural Research

期刊简介：Journal for Cultural Research is an international journal that publishes original research pieces by established and emerging authors across the North-South divide who are shaping the future of cultural philosophy and cultural policy in the 21st century. Just as the cultural has become indistinguishable from questions concerning the governable; in the academy, research has become a defining feature of the cultural. The Journal for Cultural Research aims to provide a forum for authors within and outside the academy to reflect critically on the paradox of re-searching culture and doing cultural research as a primary instrument of government underpinned by the desire not to be governed. We encourage self-reflective writing that challenges taken-for-granted formulaic social sciences’ approaches, and we would consider other forms of academic output such as audio and video essays. Authors should aim to explore the conjuncture between culture and research domains or practices in relation to which it is usually defined, including, for example, media, politics, technology, ecology, philosophy, history, economics, geography, architecture, society, art, the sciences, and the sacred. Peer Review Policy: All papers and other output in this journal have undergone editorial screening and double-anonymized peer review.
